Alain de Foucaud, Partner, Taylor Wessing.


Alain is highly specialized in corporate and commercial law with an emphasis on cross-border M&A transactions and on stock exchange matters and in particular IPO’s (Initial Public Offerings) on various stock markets.  He heads the Equity Capital Markets department. Alain has gained a vast experience on IPO’s for emerging economy companies, particularly from China.  He heads the China Desk of Taylor Wessing Paris office. 

Alain is a former member of the Paris Bar Council (2003-2005), a former chair of the European and International Affairs department of the Paris Bar (2005) and a former member of the National Bar Council (2006-2009).

Alain has been practicing as a lawyer since 1977.  He has degrees from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, with a major in Economy and Finance, and from the Centre d’Etudes Judiciaires as well as a BA in French literature (Paris University) and a Masters in Business Law (Paris University).  He spent several years as associate and then partner in Parisian and New York firms.  He was co-founder and Managing Partner of the Paris office of New York based law firm LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP (1995-2005), before joining Taylor Wessing France in January 2006.
