Fernando Fernández Méndez de Andés, PhD in Economics and Chair Professor in International Financial System at IE Business School is also a Consultant in macroeconomic, financial and regulatory issues. He is a member of the “El Economista” editorial Board and columnist with ABC. Professor Fernández is a regular economic policy analyst to both national and international communications media – press, radio and television.

Economist with a long professional experience in public and private sector, he was Chief Economist and Director of studies at the the Banco de Santander Central Hispano as well as Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund. On his academic side, Fernández was Rector of Universidad Antonio de Nebrija and European University of Madrid.
