Hugh Crossley, Chief Investment Officer, Equitix

Hugh is a founding Director of Equitix and serves as the Group’s Chief Investment Officer.  At Equitix, Hugh has been responsible for the majority of its secondary acquisitions and chairs the Fund Investment Committee. Prior to joining Equitix, Hugh was Commercial Manager at John Laing, responsible for the financial and commercial strategy of bids to financial close as an investor, financer and lead developer.  He managed Laing’s investments in Bart’s and the Royal London Hospital, Brockley Social Housing, Newham Hospital, Kingston Hospital, North Staffordshire Hospital and the acquisition of two Canadian Hospitals.  He also served on the board of a number of Laing’s project companies.  Before John Laing, he worked for Bechtel Corporation for seven years both in London and USA, developing and investing in infrastructure.  Hugh graduated with a BSc (Honours) Environmental & Ecological Engineering from the University of Newcastle.  He is also a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA).
