Richard Constant,CEO, Kreab & Gavin Anderson


Richard joined the firm in 1989, after working for a number of years with Flemings Investment Banking Division, with responsibility for marketing of Flemings' corporate finance operations in London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Today Richard advises a number of companies on their corporate communications strategies including both
friendly and hostile mergers and acquisitions, crisis management, privatisations and IPOs. His transactional
experience involves over 150 M&A situations and 100 IPOs, equity offerings, privatisations and restructurings. His M&A experience includes: Morgan Stanley/Dean Witter, Wellcome/Glaxo, SmithKline Beecham/Glaxo, TSB/Lloyds, Volkswagen/Rolls Royce, Thyssen/Krupp, Arcelor/Mittal, Alliance UniChem/Boots, UFJ/Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, Anheuser-Busch/Harbin Brewery, NASDAQ/LSE, KKR-Pessina/Alliance Boots.

Richard was for nine years a non-executive director of Austin Reed Group plc. He is a non-executive director of Homeland Renewable Energy Inc, a US based renewable energy group, and a Trustee of Help for Heroes. Richard was educated at the Kings School, Canterbury, The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and Durham University where he graduated with a 2:1 Honours Degree in Modern History.
