Thierry d'Argent, Global Head of M&A, Société Générale
Thierry d'Argent is SG CIB’s Global Head of Mergers and
Acquisitions and a member of its Executive Committee.
Mr d'Argent advised in excess of 95 closed transactions
representing in excess of €400bn for some of the largest
corporations in Europe, Asia, Latin America and the United
States.
Prior to joining SG CIB, he headed J.P. Morgan’s Investment
Banking/Advisory franchise in France; he was a member of
J.P. Morgan’s European Advisory Leadership Core Team and
of the Firm’s Management Committee in France.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, he worked at Barings, latterly as
Director, in Paris. He started his career as a management
consultant with Oliver Wyman in London and was deputy
Cabinet Director in the Brussels Federal Government
between 1991 and 1992.
He graduated summa cum laude from the Solvay Business
School and the University of Brussels.
He serves on the Advisory Board of France’s Autorité des
Marchés Financiers
