Vijay Chandok, President, ICICI Bank

Mr. Vijay Chandok is the Head of International Banking and Small and Medium Enterprises groups in ICICI Bank. He joined the ICICI group in May 1993 and has over 18 years of experience spanning various areas like Project Finance and Corporate Banking, Small and Medium Enterprises, Retail Assets and Rural Banking.

Prior to this, he was the Senior General Manager in charge of Retail Assets, Small & Medium Enterprises (SME) and Rural & Agri Banking groups in the Bank. He was also the Vice Chairman of the ICICI Home Finance Company. He was responsible for launching and scaling up the SME business in the Bank, which currently provides services to over half a million customers. He is credited with leading the amalgamation process of erstwhile Sangli Bank into ICICI Bank. He has been awarded the Top Leadership Award in ICICI Bank, amongst peer group, in the domain of Nurturing Talent and Innovation

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from IT- BHU and a Masters Degree in Business Management from Mumbai University.
