Wanchun Zhang, President, China Great Wall Asset Management Corporation
Dr. ZHENG Wanchun, now the CEO of the China Great Wall Asset Management Corporation, was born in Jingxian County of Anhui Province on February 1964. He got his Doctor Degree from the People’s University of China with finance major. Before that, he had the master degree in investment at the same university.
Dr. Zheng, the senior economist, is the expert enjoying the governmental allowance issued by the State Council. He has been working in finance sector for a long time.
Dr. Zheng started his working career in 1982, was successively the director of the Public Transportation Credit Division in headquarters of Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), the president of Yangpu Sub-Branch under the Hainan Branch of ICBC, the assistant president and the head of the Sales Department in Hainan Branch of ICBC, the vice general manager of the Industrial & Commercial Credit Department in headquarters of ICBC.
And then he had been transferred to the China Huarong Asset Management Corporation (CHAMC) as the general manager of the Creditor’s Rights Department, the general manager of the Operation Management Department, the assistant CEO and vice CEO one after another. At that time, Dr. Zheng was also the Chairman of SCITECH Group, the Huarong Carrefour Co. Ltd., the Rongde Asset Management Co. Ltd., the Huarong Securities Co. Ltd. and the Huarong Futures Co. Ltd.
He has become the CEO of the China Great Wall Asset Management Corporation since March 2011.
Dr. Zheng has been done overseas visiting research with the Bank of Montreal in Canada, the Bank of America and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in the United States respectively. He has published more than 20 academic theses separately in Financial Research, China Finance, Financial Science, etc, and also the author of The Research of the Key Technologies to Financial Non-performing Loans Resolution.
