William Vereker, Joint Global Head of Investment Banking, Nomura

William Vereker is Joint Head of Global Investment Banking at Nomura. Prior to this, he was Head of European Investment Banking. He was formerly at Lehman Brothers where he held the position of European Head of Investment banking and prior to this he was Head of Global Natural Resources and Power. Between 1996-2005, he held a number of positions at Morgan Stanley latterly as Head of Utilities.

William started his banking career in 1988 and has been an energy specialist throughout. He has served as an advisor to many of the world's leading energy and utility companies and has been involved in many of the landmark acquisitions, divestments, debt and equity offerings and privatisations in the energy sector across Europe over the last 20 years.

He holds a BA (hons) from the University of Cambridge
