Xiuhong Ma, President, China Foreign Trade Centre, Former Vice Minister, Ministry of Commerce, the People’s Republic of China


Ms. Ma Xiuhong, a Han national from Tang County of Hubei Province, was born in September, 1948. She graduated from the Institute of Technology and Engineering as an engineer in microwave communication.
1981.10-1982.04 Working in succession with the Import and Export Bureau and the Bureau of Foreign Investment Administration under the State Import and Export Administrative Commission
1982.04-1993.04 Working as official, Deputy Director and Director at the Bureau of Foreign Investment Administration of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade (MOFERT)
1993.04-1998.05 Serving as Director, Deputy Director-General and Director General at the Department of Foreign Investment Administration of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC)
1998.05-1998.08 Working in the capacity of both Assistant Minister of MOFTEC and Director General of the Department of Foreign Investment Administration of MOFTEC, concurrently a member of the Ministry’s Party Committee
1998.08-2002.01  Assistant Minister of MOFTEC and member of the Ministry’s Party Committee. Studied in Class One of the Central School of CPC during September, 2001.
