Ji is the managing partner of Allen & Overy’s Shanghai office.  She has over 15 years experience in M&A transactions (both domestic and cross-border), private equity, joint venture and general corporate experience.  After practising in the United States (Wall Street and Silicon Valley) for more than six years with a major international firm, focusing on M&A, private equity and general corporate work, Ji returned to China in early 2003 and has since focused on advising multinational companies and financial investors (including private investors) on their M&A transactions and joint venture projects with China-based assets.  Ji has also advised a number of Chinese companies on their outbound M&A, listings and other investment activities outside China.  Ji received her LLB from Peking University Law School and a J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University Law School.  She is qualified in New York and California and is fluent in Mandarin and English.
